Poplar Frame Pack – Half a frame to mix & match

Description

Poplar Frame Packs contain two pieces of unfinished 1-3/8″ poplar frame stock.  Each piece of framing is miter cut, drilled, and countersunk to accept the tempered Phillips head screws and wood plugs for the screw holes.  The wood is sanded and ready to finish. The frames assemble quickly to produce a sound solid frame.  The measurement options are for your PANEL SIZE.   If you have a custom size, please see our custom framing page for pricing.

  Poplar Dimensions

• Two tempered screws and wood plugs for the screw holes are included.

• • Example:  You have a completed glass panel that measures 16″ x 23″.
    Your order will be for one frame pack at 16″ and a second frame pack at 23″.
    (If your panel measures 16-1/16″ don’t fudge this, get a custom frame.)  Be sure to pick the correct groove width.

Characteristics of poplar are:

• Accepts paint well.
• Pale blond to grayish white with green, brown, and dark purple streaks.
• Color darkens with time.
• Not recommended for staining.
