Oak

• Light to medium brown, tones of yellow, white, gray and commonly a reddish tone.
• Accepts stain well.
• Not a paint grade wood.

Poplar

• Accepts paint well.
• Pale blond to grayish white with green, brown, and dark purple streaks.
• Color darkens with time.
• Not recommended for staining.
